Bosnia and Herzegovina has the most stunning natural sights in the world, from the lush emerald rivers to the intriguing Ottoman & Austro-Hungarian architecture. Despite the overwhelming accomplishment of neighbouring Croatia, Bosnia is a destination that has remained unexplored and off the beaten tour.  Many people associate the nation with the heartbreaking civil war of the 1990s, and the traces of that time are all too evident. But today's tourists are likely to remember the land for its deep, indescribable warmth, its magnificent mountains, its numerous medieval castle remnants, its raft-able rivers, lakes, villages and spectacular waterfalls and skiing.

Major amusement includes the reincarnated historical sites of Sarajevo and Mostar, the magnificent stone architecture of the Turkish period with quaint bars, welcoming street-terrace cafés, traditional barbecue restaurants and vivid art scenes. There is a lot of interest to explore in the largely agricultural hinterland, too, at rates that make the region one of the best-value destinations in Europe with Dusk Travel and Tourism.
